Installation of Water Meters in Turkmen Bareh - LDSPS

The Water Meter Installation Project in the town of Turkmen Bareh aims to strengthen the role of the local council in providing essential services—most notably, ensuring access to clean drinking water for the majority of residents connected to the water network. The project seeks to promote fairness by enabling consumers to pay based on actual usage, encouraging water conservation, and improving revenue collection.

To achieve these goals, the local council plans to install water meters for all subscribers in both Turkmen Bareh and Bahurta, while also securing them in dedicated metal enclosures. Additionally, a tiered pricing system will be introduced based on consumption levels, alongside a well-structured and efficient billing policy. This initiative will not only enhance the council’s role but also generate revenue through subscription fees and water charges, allowing for reinvestment in local services, infrastructure, and employee salaries.

Note: The project will be implemented in coordination with the Engineers’ Syndicate.
